A new book was released on May 18 which, in reality, is more a practical and enlightening guide.

Is titled 'The nice thing about having a bad day' , a curious statement to say the least, which we will explain in the words of its author, psychiatrist and psychotherapist Anabel Gonzalez , an expert in the field of dissociative disorders and emotion management.

The purpose is to give us advice on how to orient ourselves during bad times , even when they seem to be many and never go away.

Who among you has never had them? Let's see if you recognize yourself in these situations.

There are days when a mishap is enough, a small domestic accident, an argument with a partner, an argument with the boss, and immediately we lose control of the situation.
How do we react? Either we blurt out because we can't calm the anger, or we shut up, repressing our emotions until we feel bad.

No half measures, in short.
And so a bad day becomes a bad time , and those emotions that scare us most such as fear, anxiety, anger, shame, frustration, a sense of inadequacy plant roots within us and take control of our behaviors, as if we were puppets.

The truth is that even the toughest days can be tackled if we learn to manage our emotions.

Anabel Gonzalez in her book explains well how the rudder of our emotional system is in our hands.
We must not stifle negative emotions , nor try at all costs to make the best of bad luck, pretending everything is fine . Stifling emotions has a price.

Accepting to have those feelings, and letting them live within us for as long as necessary, allows us to learn to regulate our emotions.
Just doing an accurate "maintenance" of our negative emotions , in fact, we will be able to leave room for the positive ones and live them fully.
And only by accepting to face a bad day will we be able to turn a bad moment into an opportunity , and a problem into the change we've been waiting for.

So, in summary: when you have a bad moment, pick up this book and resize the situation by following the expert's advice. Then, to relax, a nice Balique hair mask posing while you read and pass everything! 😊

Dedicating a moment of pampering to yourself is truly therapeutic to calm your nerves and relax until you see events from a different perspective.
